el jo i l’ego

blurring the boundaries between natural and artificial, self and other, through sound, image, and abstraction.

imagined as an immersive installation that explores the complex relationship between personal identity and the external influences that shape it. The proposal envisions a multisensory journey combining sonic landscapes, pictorial visuals, and physical abstractions, with the aim of inviting the audience to reflect on how the social ego interferes in the construction of the “self.” It seeks to question how this process manipulates the perception of reality, redefining the concepts of “natural,” “authentic,” and “real.”

The project is conceived as a series of five symbolic spaces, each representing a stage in the dialogue between self and ego: from the initial essence to renaturalization. Each space would be built from a combination of manipulated sound frequencies, visual textures that challenge usual perceptions, and materials evoking the tension between the natural and the artificial.

this approach seeks to offer the audience a transformative experience based on deep listening, inviting them to interact with sounds that point both toward introspection and toward confrontation with what the ego dictates. It is expected that this combination will stimulate reflection on the layers of identity and on the constant influence of the social environment.
