Mar Sala Romagosa, she/her (º1993 Barcelona) under the artistic name of zoutezee is a Polish-Belgium based artist dwelling between the sound and visual disciplines. As a musician-trained, she holds the principal piccolo position at Wrocław philharmonic orchestra (PL), is one of the founding member of Nemø ensemble (BE), former member of Ictus and Spectra academy G.A.M.E. ensemble (BE), member of transfiguracje trio (PL) and artistic leader of telam::ensemble:. (PL).

She has performed in festivals such as Opera Festival (Rotterdam), Rewire (The Hague), Darmstädter Ferienkurse, Bach Festival (Gent), En Avant Mars (Gent), Mixtur Festival (Barcelona), La Biennale (Venice), Cement Festival (’s-Hertogenbosch). Zoutezee has also collaborated with and premiered creations from Gorlinsky, Guiraud, Jacobs, Pàmies, Van Parys, Dossena, Bajnok, among others. In November 2023 collaborated with Emanuel Gollob and his disarming II project which investigates today’s relations of humans, artificial intelligence & robots with the goal of making alternative relations bodily experienceable.

Her first performance installation d.e.a.f. a third ear to a silenced body was premiere in 2023 in Barcelona at Arts Santa Mònica as part of the cycle “sound and body” and since then has been performed in Brussels, and in Wroclaw and Tilburg as a collaborative mixed-media performance with the dutch composer Ruud Roelefsen where she explores the boundaries of the multidisciplinary performance within a sonic framework. In June 2024 she got selected in the open call of SURVIVAL.22 in Wroclaw (PL) where she will present her sonic sculpture silenced echoes, a site specific installation created inside a tower.

In October 2024 she will host her first gallery exhibition at ESBLANK in Mallorca (ES) where she will display pieces of d.e.a.f., silenced echoes and her latest installation work, skins.
